The best kind of job evolves with you and makes you stretch in a good way. That’s what Rebecca Mims says she found in her career path with CSL Plasma, where she is now Associate Director of Operations and Quality.
Mims got her start at local CSL Plasma centers, which collect donated human plasma needed to make medicines for patients who have rare and serious diseases. She took on various roles including center manager and eventually, manager of quality programs.
Those experiences gave her a keen awareness of the importance of quality. It was the right foundation for a quality assurance position within CSL’s headquarters – a position she landed. Expanding her knowledge to include manufacturing and finance was “like jumping into the deep end,” but she welcomed the opportunity.
