Stefan Merlo is the Vice President of Commercial Development and Interim Head of Strategy at CSL Seqirus. He’s on a mission to out-innovate the influenza virus.
We do so much good work to try and improve upon the vaccines we make, explained Merlo. Our vaccines contribute to the greater goal of reducing the public health burden of influenza and knowing that is incredibly rewarding.
Driven by collaboration and innovation, Merlo and his team focus on the long-term strategy for CSL Seqirus’ vaccines and how to further enhance their benefits to public health. Stefan brings years of experience as a pharmacist, marketing specialist and sales team leader, setting the groundwork to prepare him for his role in commercial development.
When asked about what drew him to continue his career at CSL Seqirus, Merlo shared, “CSL Seqirus is where everyone feels they can make a difference. I’ve worked at other companies large and small, and I’ve never felt as connected to the purpose that we have and the results of the business.”
