CSL Vifor, a leader in therapies to treat iron deficiency, recently took part in a campaign that highlighted the St. Gallen Health Network in St. Gallen, Switzerland, where its manufacturing operation is located.
CSL Vifor’s Site Head at St. Gallen, Manuel Senn, shares the history of CSL Vifor, acquired by CSL in 2022, and how the business unit stays innovative through the state-of-the art technology and a team of highly skilled professionals. The “home of iron” in St. Gallen, which is east of Zurich, employs 300 and produces the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for iron therapies distributed to a global market.
The campaign showcased CSL Vifor’s connection and commitment to the local community, where the St. Gallen network includes 30 local businesses, research institutions and educational organizations. The St. Gallen Health network, which sponsors conferences, events and networking.
The initiative, coordinated by the St. Gallen city council’s Directorate for Economic Development, positions the city as a hub for health care-related businesses that generate jobs and attract talented professions to the region.
