Bob Lojewski, Senior Vice President and CSL Behring General Manager of North America, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). With this appointment, Lojewski joins a roster of executives representing leading biopharmaceutical research companies worldwide.
PhRMA advances public policies in the United States and around the world that support innovative medical research as part of a patient-centered agenda. In his new role, Lojewski will sit on PhRMA’s federal and state legislative committees and weigh in on policy issues.
Lojewski, with CSL Behring for eight years, is based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, where he manages a diverse portfolio of products for specialty and rare diseases in immunology, neurology, respiratory and hematology, including the recent launch of a gene therapy.
“I’m very honored to represent CSL Behring on PhRMA’s Board of Directors,” Lojewski said. “Together with other industry leaders in our trade association, we have tremendous potential to advance issues that are critical to our industry’s collective mission to serve patients.”
CSL joined PhRMA in December 2020. In addition to CSL Behring, CSL includes CSL Seqirus, which makes vaccines, and CSL Vifor, a leader in iron deficiency and nephrology (kidney care).
Lojewski recently served as a coach at CSL Behring’s Gettin’ in the Game Junior National Championship, the first and only national sports competition designed for the bleeding disorders community. During a fun and educational weekend, more than 100+ kids and teens choose one of four sports – golf, swimming, baseball or basketball.
Lojewski, a former college basketball player, coached participants in the clinic and competition. He also spoke to this year’s participants about the lessons he learned playing sports.
